Starting during the desperation of the COVID lockdowns and still going strong today is quite the active community encouraging forgoing the expertise of medically-trained professionals and suggesting purchasing your own filler and neurotoxin to inject yourself with.
Just where are these injectables sourced from? (insert vague Korean website, peddling non-FDA approved substances…)
How did we become at-home experts on facial muscle anatomy? Watching YouTube, of course!
Pushing at-home micro-needling was dangerous enough. It’s a serious infection risk if not done correctly IN OFFICE and playing around with needle depths when you ultimately have no idea what you’re doing risks long-term scarring.
…But injectables? Have we collectively lost our minds for the sake of saving money on a service that no one said you need to seek out in the first place?
